Women’s Reproductive Freedoms

I’m proud to be endorsed by Planned Parenthood. 

 We all watched as one Supreme Court justice nominee after another lied to our faces, claimed that Roe was settled precedent and that they respected precedent. The first chance they had to overturn Roe v. Wade, they jumped on it. 

• They gaslit us and told us it would actually help women by sending it back to the states. Our state legislature decided to impose an effective ban on abortions with very narrow exceptions. We’ve seen in Texas, women who meet the criteria for a “life of the mother” exemption had to take their case all the way to the Texas Supreme Court, telling women who were dying after their fetus died inside of them. I’ve always said every right wing accusation is a confession. We’re seeing those death panels they were talking about. They didn’t show up from the Affordable Care Act like they claimed, but on a case by case basis by state supreme courts.

  When you send me to the legislature, I will do everything I possibly can to make your voice heard loud and clear on this issue, and will push for a state constitutional amendment, enshrining reproductive rights for all women in this state.
